Feeling lucky that I live near this place I love so very much.
Last week we braved the wind and basked in the luxury of emptiness, solitude and freedom, trying to understand the virtue of “completing the tasks” that often keep us tethered to our cyberleashes. It’s easy to mistake the pervasive air of New England Calvinism for the oxygen we need to survive.
A trip here reminds me there’s cleaner air out there, even if it does sometimes sting the lungs.
I’m trying to become comfortable with discomfort.
